External Layouts For Unity

I have been using external DCCs, such as Maya or Houdini, to generate layouts . I wrote some scripts that gathers all the transform with a tag attached to it and writes them to a json file. The while in Unity I can now instantiate 1000 of objects as supposed to have exported unique objects from Maya. In the example below I have hundreds of trees though they are instantiated only from 3 variants.
